What can I upload, and how large can it be?

Accepted Answer

Inkly signs PDFs, up to 20 MB per file. The PDF needs to be unencrypted, so if yours is password protected, remove the password before uploading it.

Do the people I send it to need an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Each signer gets a private bearer link by email, fills in their fields, and signs without creating an account. Anyone who receives that link can act as that signer, so it should not be forwarded. After the document is finished, the link becomes read-only instead of disappearing.

What happens to my PDF after I upload it?

It transfers directly into private, encrypted storage. If you upload before creating an account, a secure HTTP-only cookie gives you one hour to connect the PDF to an account. Unclaimed files are deleted automatically after the separate two-hour upload authorization has expired, so a still-valid upload link cannot recreate an untracked object. Once it becomes a draft, only your workspace can open it. On Pro and Teams your documents stay as long as your plan is active. On Free, a sent document stays in your dashboard for 14 days, then locks, and Inkly emails you before permanently deleting its stored copy 45 days after sending.
